Exact Images
Déjar is a 100% true reproduction of the original document delivered over the Internet.
When you create over six million new images per month, and add another twenty gigabytes of storage to your archive database every month, you come to appreciate Déjar's one kilobyte per stored image size.
Approxiamation
With such small stored image sizes, you would expect image quality to be an approximation of the original. In fact, Déjar images are 100%, dot-for-dot, true bill images. This feature is probably unique in available archiving solutions.
Many archive systems use what we call "Approximation Technology". That is, they use local client resources to approximate the original fonts and/or graphics used in the printing.
Sadly, these products run into resource problems when multiple or complex fonts are used (eg. to accommodate logos or glyphs, and occasionally foreign language characters).
The problems occur when the local viewing PC doesn't have the edited font set, causing some unusual output!
Déjar is NOT Approximation Technology. Déjar provides a true bill image without the resource management head-aches!
Base Stock
Déjar also presents an image of the original base stock behind the archived image - an exact copy of your mailed item. Of course if the background stock changes in a multi-page document set, the archive background changes to suit.
Features
Browser features include Diary Notes to store memos with the image, Attachments to store non-Déjar documents with the image, and the ability to print or fax any image you like - single page or the entire document set.
A full Audit History feature ensures every image access event is recorded by User ID and Date/Time stamp.
Creation
Almost all formatting tools can be used to create Déjar archives. You only need a formatting tool capable of placing text on a page and referencing a printer font.
Supported PDLs
Déjar supports three common print spools - in the same product. You can archive from PCL, Metacode, or AFPDS as required. Archive speeds exceed the print speeds of most common high-speed laser printers.
Databases
Déjar supports any modern relational database.
