Initial Setup
Setting up a new customer job is as simple as the five steps shown in the sidebar >>>
Inserting indexes (allowing the user to search for the right document) can take as little as 20 minutes.
If you use PReS (from PrintSoft Products) as your formatting tool, we even generate the indexing code to cut and paste into your PReS script!
The background stock is prepared by selecting and naming the stock images. Déjar does the rest!
Setting up the job is like setting up a laser printer. You define spool file locations, bins, stocks etc, and all with the help of a Wizard.
Connecting to the customer means ensuring the internet or direct connection you are going to use for web access has been established and is working.
Finally, add users and passwords so that your customer can access the service.
You are now ready to rock and roll ...
Daily Processing
The Déjar process is shown below:
The entire Déjar Archiving operation is almost entirely automated... ...and besides, we take care of it all.
Daily processing is fully automated. Spools arrive into an FTP server and are passed on to the Archiver in sequence (the Archiver contains a job-queue application). The Archiver stores the processed job, writing the indexing last, and then the job log is created. As soon as the indexing is written the records are available to anyone with authorised access.
In our New Zealand data centre processing is completed overnight. Next morning we check the logs ... and thats it!
